i got a ballon up on my task bar saying my virtual memory is to low how do i check this and can this be increased?

Go to Start | Control Panel | System | Advanced Tab Click Advanced Tab again Then in the Virtual Memory section, click the Change button
Click either System Managed Size or Custom Size If you choose the first, Windows looks after things for you If you choose the second option, then you must set an upper and a lower limit You shouldn't set it for more than 2½ times the size of your Physical RAM,
So if you have 256Mb of RAM you should set the limits to 640Mb If you have above 512MB, set it to only twice the size of you physical RAM
