SD memory Info?

I am looking for info (good or bad) about SD memory cards. I use an XD for my camera but am buying SD as a present for someone, anyone reccomend manufacturers i.e viking etc as being good or bad.
Any info/help appreciated.

I think they tend to be like anything else, ie you get what you pay for. They're so cheap in price now it's wirth spending a few more quid for a good one.
