The great thing about standards is that there are so many to choose from!!!!

I think you need to find a standard or compatibility of system that match writer and player.

Only other thing I can think of is copy write protection which is an art form in itself

On another matter concerning Nero,I have just burned a cd using Nero.
I chose the tracks I wanted from my library, but the mchine seems to have recorded the items in alphabetic order of title,& not the order I programmed them in as.
Is there any way of changing this,so the machine burns the disc in the order the songs were programmed in?

Are you using version 6, via Nero express? If so you'll find that as you are selecting each song it automatically puts them at the top of the list, so you have to select your tunes in reverse order.

If I'm burning an audio CD I usually just select the songs in the order I want them. However if I just choose the directory they are in it will list them in alphabetical order, just as the computer orders them in the directory.

It's just a matter of dragging them into the order I want them before burning.

I use Roxio, and the same thing happens if I just grab a load of tracks and drop them in, but I do have the option to rearrange them before burning. I don't know anything about Nero, but I'd have thought there'd be a way of doing it.

Sorry if that's not much help.
