I connect to AOL broadband and then within 10 minutes I am disconnected. Please could anyone offer any suggestions. Thanks

If you are being disconnected every 10 minutes i would check your microfilters. If they prove to be fine get AOL to do a whoosh test on your line to check for anything wrong if that doesnt show anything request them to report a fault to BT you may have a problem at your local exchange.

It isn't my computer, its a friends. The problem is fixed now anyway. They had something wrong with the extension they used to connect the computer to the phone line.
