Hi everyone,
Just wondered if anyone had any comments, ideas or thoughts on my website. I am trying to keep it as user friendly as possible.
Any comments back would be great

Hi Ben,
can I say the first thing that strikes me about the photo side of the site is that you, or the person / company who wrote the flash interface for your photos weren't doing your photos, or flash justice!
To be honest, I can't really see why you have gone for that option. If you are wanting to make your site user friendly, the flash interface doesn't help your cause.
I say that because when viewing a photo the interface restricts the view to a narrow window. The user then has to scroll up and down to see anything, and the only way to view the photo without scrolling results in a tiny photo size.
I think it'd be nicer to see the whole of your photo, as a standard image. It may be old fashioned, but it is 100% more usable that what you've got at the moment. True, it is a slick flash tool, but one that seems to have been written more to demostrate flash competency that to have been written to help people look at photos.
Thanks
Jim

Hi Jim,
Thanks for your comments, the bizzar thing is that I set it up on purpose so you never have to scroll and have checked it on different PC's and different screen sizes without any problems. Could you tell me your browser you are using and the resolution and I will look in to that as I agree that its not a great way to view my pictures! Did you like the pictures at least? :)
Thanks

Hi Ben,
I put a screenshot of an image as I first click on it here.
I'm using a windows 2000 PC, firefox 1.0 and a screen res of 1280 * 1024.
But... it works fine on ie6 here. So it seems to be a firefox thing - maybe?
Looks like you had a good time judging by the photos... Did you write the flash photo viewer yourself then? It's a smart piece of flash design.
Thanks
Jim

Yes it's a Firefox thing. I got exactly the same problem as Bumpyride. It looks as if the Flash window isn't resizing properly to fill the screen and thus restricting the photo size.

Do you know that we're all in line for succession to the throne? Really? Well, if forty-eight million, two hundred thousand, seven hundred and one people died I'd be Queen.

Hi Ben As a newbie, firstly let me say I am glad I found Webuser. As for your website. It has made my day. Wonderful. My wife and I viewed with envy your pictures. Needless to say I shall be visiting again. Had no problems opening up any of the pictures using BT Yahoo Broadband and IE6
Keep up the good work
