trying to reload aol 9
      #143191 - Sun Dec 26 2004 09:52 PM

I have bought a new computer and am trying to put AOL 9 back on. I am an existing customer, when it tries to find the access phone number it cant. It will not let me manually add the number, it keeps telling me i need to add a location, i do this but it doesn't save this info. Its very frustrating, I dont want to change ISP, can anybody help

Hi Helen
If you have got the AOL software in place try these 2 ideas to get a connection.

Click on Help (Top of window) Scroll down the Menu to AOL Access Phone Numbers
Select "New Location" button then Press Next and the AOL software will try to find a way of connecting via a Wizard
The 2nd way is to again Click" Help" but this time select the "Computer Checkup" or the "Fix it for me" wizard and both of these should get you online. I think you'll have to go via the "Fix it for me" path when you are offline? .Just select the Item that refers to connection Issues from the list and let it do the donkey work
1 way or the other you'll be back online within 5 minutes.
In case you are wondering? The AP in my name is Answerpool.com (see my profile)
