Help removing website
      #142813 - Fri Dec 24 2004 09:30 PM

I uploaded my family history website (via Generations family history program) on to the internet using Freeserve/Wanadoo ISP.

I have been trying to delete the site using Wanadoo and Terrapin. Both of these tell me the website has been deleted - but it is still there.

I have tried clearing my temporary internet files but this doesn't help.

Can anyone help?

Check and see if there is an uninstall option in the Start Menu against a mention of the programs Name
Or ... locate and open the Control Panel which is also on the Start Menu and locate the Add or remove program folder the Program name will be on this list there is a small button by the name this starts the "uninstall wizard" on most things here, just follow the instructions and the program is removed quickly
Did that work?
In case you are wondering? The AP in my name is Answerpool.com (see my profile)

I know you said you have cleared your temporary files but it might still be possible that you are viewing a cached verion of the site rather than the actual web based one. It is also possible that your ISP does not clean out it's own server caches frequently enough so you are viewing a cached version on the ISP's server. Can you try and view the site from a different PC using a different ISP? If not, PM me with the URL and I will see if I can see it.

Do you know that we're all in line for succession to the throne? Really?
Well, if forty-eight million, two hundred thousand, seven hundred and one people died I'd be Queen.
