I will be going onto broadband in the new year and have decided on Demon at £19.99 or Supanet at £19.97. I wonder if anyone has experince with either of these two providers. Which one would be the better of the two. Many thanks

I will move this post to the ISP forum.

Do you know that we're all in line for succession to the throne? Really? Well, if forty-eight million, two hundred thousand, seven hundred and one people died I'd be Queen.

Try www.plus.net at about 15 quid a month. Excellent customer service. I'd still be with PlusNet if I had a phone line.

Just out of interest, how do you connect - mobile?

Far too slow for my liking. Wireless broadband - it's the way forward.

Just out of interest, how "do" you connect? . . . . . I presume your broadband comes into your wireless router from somewhere?

I'm not talking about a wireless network, which is normally connected to a phone line (ADSL or cable), I'm talking about wireless broadband.
My broadband modem is a wireless modem. It communicates with a transmitter in the middle of Slough. For about 14 quid a month, I get an unlimited 512Mbs connection. If I used ADSL, this would cost me around 34 quid a month (unless anybody knows of any cheaper unlimited 512Mbs services).
The wireless modem is actually connected to a wireless router, so that Bird can work anywhere in the house, and we can download films to the entertainment centre in the living room.
