I was wondering if anybody could help. At the moment I have som free space with telewest Blueyonder (broadband) I want to host a messageboard from these guys
http://www.invisionboard.com/
I have heard that blueyonder may not be able to host such a thing.
As I have no knowledge at all about Websites and all the terminoligy Could anbody help, I don't even think I would know what to do once I had downloaded the files from invisionboard
Or could anybody tell me of a free host that I would be able to upload theese files to, I may need help with this :0)
Any help would be apreciated

With this kind of forum your host needs to be able to allow scripting on your site - the easiest way to find out if it will is to give Blueyonder's technical support a ring and ask them. However, although you don't need any particular programming skill to get a forum like Invision working, it is still quite technical and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who "has no knowledge at all of websites."
If you are looking for a simpler forum, why not try Bravenet's - it's not as pretty but it's a whole lot easier to set up and Bravenet will host it for you.

The blueyonder host would need to run PHP 4(Personal Host Pages) and MySQL (database)
BlueYonder supports the first, but not the second
The second page would be the part that would store all your messages
Have a look at this page to find a list of free hosting which supports both of these, all you would then do is click a link on your blue yonder pages that would take you to the bulletin board host

For the past 2 years I have had my messageboard with www.boards2go.com, a free board hosted by themselves and with many easy editable functions just by logging in. It has never any "downtime" which is one of its strengths, it only hosts one banner at the top (but sometimes a pop up as well) and I fully recommend it.
