I've got a load of AOL CDs that I was going to send to No more AOL CDs. If PM me your address and send a cheque for a fiver to the RNLI, then I'll send you a CD.

Interesting link, Rob. I wish there was something to stop them being stuck in magazines too, same goes for Tiscali. Madeline.

I think that the only way to prevent CDs being stuck inside our magazines is to pay more for the magazines. Personally, I'd rather pay a little more for a magazine that doesn't have "free" CDs, rather than put up with the damage to the environment caused by producing thousands of CDs, just to end up in landfill sites.

I quite agree, Rob. I'd be prepared to pay more for a magazine if it meant eliminating this irritation. It's easy to tear the page when it's stuck on with that snot stuff. Usually, if you subscribe to a mag, they put the CDs in loose in the wrapper. All the same, it's a waste of resources to make them and I don't think they're particularly biodegradable, are they? Unfortunately, most people around only think about money, and not the consequences.

You're right there, Rob. It's not thinking about the consequences that's messing up the environment right now. I don't see why any ISP has to put CDs in mags anyway, presumably they haven't got enough customers. An eye-catching ad should be sufficient. Madeline.

It's car drivers that get me. Especially those who drive to the local shops when they're only a few minutes' walk away.

What about parents who drive their children to school when it's within walking distance? My grandchildren always walk to their Primary School. The eldest now gets to her Secondary School on the school bus. Madeline.

I'm with you on that one as well. They always seem to spend ages parked in bus stops WITH THEIR ENGINES RUNNING while dropping off their kids. They also get upset when I get off the bus, suggest that they don't park at a bus stop, and they don't pollute the air by needlessly leaving the engine running.

Good for you for telling them off, some people are so thoughtless and uncaring. Another thing, why do so many people seem to think they need 4x4s in towns? You'd hardly ever need such vehicles in Britain anyway. Madeline.

I'd like to know what percentage of 4x4s in Britain ever make it off road.
I almost got hit yesterday morning for suggesting that a smoker dropped his cigarette in the bin (after putting it out, of course) instead of just dropping it on the floor.

You're wrong on that one one Rob, they've all been off road. They all mount the kerb to park ! That's classed as off road surely.

Only half off-road. Even 4x4 drivers don't need all 4 wheels on the pavement.

What a long thread this one has turned out to be, completely off topic! Anyhow, going back to your query, I believe that V6 can still be downloaded from the Net but I would advise your sister to try 7 or 8 but whatever she decides don't let her go for AOLHell9. Believe me, it's not worth the hassle, don't I know it after trying to live with it for over 6 months!!!

It won't be happening again. I'm going to be good in the future.
I've just looked through my stash of old AOL CDs that I'm saving up to send back to AOL, and found that I've got a copy of AOL6.
In return for a small donation to the RNLI, I'll send you the CD.
