NERO 5
      #12514 - Sun Sep 28 2003 09:32 AM

I am not very computer literate so can someone explain if this is possible. I am wanting to transfer MP3 files into the normal audio CD format so I can listen to the CD in car etc etc. My stereo and car player do not play MP3's !! Is this possible by using Nero 5 ? If not can someone point me in the right direction.

i don't use nero but i'm sure if you will have an option to burn as audio files, nero should convert them automatically from mp3 to wav.
Computers are like Old Testament gods; lots of rules and no mercy.

Your right Bricat.

If you select to burn an audio CD then Nero will convert the MP3's automatically.

Use the Nero Burning ROM, and not the Nero Express, and if using the Wizard select Audio CD. If you read Nero's own help it will tell you that as part of the burning process it automatically converts mp3 files into .cda (CD audio) format. No intermediate steps or prior conversions are needed.

Caveat: All files for .cda conversion must be in the root of the CD, and you cannot add any other file types or folders to the compilation. If you wanted to do that, you would have to select Hybrid CD (mixed audio/data), and there would be no cast iron guartantee your home CD system would like it.
