Running: Windows 98
Internet Provider: AOL ver 8.
Carried out all the tasks in the issue 92 Practical Feature (Spyware Cleaning), now internet running even slower than before, also keeps dropping connection. Please help if poss.

Possible you are in need of a defrag or Cache size is too small on Harddrive
Other places to check first
Type "cleanmgr" in the Start>Run box and clear out the temp files and others leave the cookies (need them to log on to sites) untick that box
Or...Download Easycleaner from http://personal.inet.fi/business/toniarts/ecleane.htm
And click the Unnecessary files button does the same job as the Windows file cleaner Has a bug of not deleting sometimes .Best way around this is to pause it then delete then restart the scan (works fine this way)
The Registry button is also worth checking this clear lots of the useless clutter in the Registry (quite safe)
If there are any files that are needed this program will flash a message up that it's ignoring them .So this is safe for Beginners
