I have Intuit's Quicken 4 & have been using it in a Windows 98 environment with much success. In fact, I am quite pleased with it. However, I have not upgraded it since I purchased it back in the mid 90's. Now I am faced with the purchase of a new PC using Windows XP. There is no place on Quicken's website indicating that it will work in an XP environment. Before I try to load Quicken 4 on my PC with XP, my question is this: Will Quicken 4 work in Windows XP? If not, what must I do to upgrade Quicken 4 to Quicken 2005, which is now available, and will all my old data be transferred? Please advise! Thank you in advance.

Before buying the newer version of Quicken, try your current one with XP by using the Program Compatibilty Wizard. You get to it by Start - All Programs Accessories - Program Compatibilty Wizard. Follow the instructions in the wizard and it should work.
