Hi, After some helpful advice last night I thought I'd share another little irritant I'm having with the internet. When saving files from the internet I am usually limited to 2/3 downloads at a time even though I'm on broadband. Is this normal or is there a way of changing it?
Thanks, Karl

There is a way, but requires a little playing in the registry.
This isn't strictly the best way of doing this, as it breaks internet protocol but here goes . Are you sitting comfortably? Then I'll begin
Go to Start | Run Type in Regedit
In the left pane, find the following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ Internet Settings
Find the following in the Right pane
MaxConnectionsPerServer MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server
Modify the existing values by double clicking on them in turn and change the value data to equal the number of simultaneous requests allowed to a single HTTP server, the default values are 2 and 4 respectively. I use 10 and 8 respectively on my pcs, but make sure that it is set to Decimal in Base
(If you are familiar with hex, you can use the values, a and 8 with base set to hexadecimal)
Exit your registry and restart Windows.
Of all the Things I've lost, I miss my mind the most
