Need help please. When opening thumbnails my PC now asks me if I want to open (or save) them in PSPro instead of opening as a new window. Anyone tell me how to prevent this.

If I read you correctly, you want to use a different program to open JPGs.
Go to Folder Options, File Types Tab and scroll down to JPG. Highlight it and check underneath it which program is currently in use. Click Change and select a different program.

Not everybody will agree, but I prefer to use Windows "Image Preview" as my default image browser.
I like the automatic resize and rotate for the best fit on the page. That way I don't have to worry about size or orientation when selecting an image to print.
Whichever programme you prefer, right click on a .jpg and select "Open With", then tick the box that says something along the lines of "Always use ... ". Once that's done, all your JPEGs will open in the same application unless you specify otherwise.
Hope that helps

I'm with you Barney on the Preview default. I use it all the time. Obviously, there are some image formats it can't handle, for which I have the default as the application that created/edits them.
The thing with Preview is once you've found the image, right-click on it and select the program you want to edit it with.
