Is it possible to take a snap shot of whats on screen i.e say the desktop? i'm sure i have seen this somewhere but have no idea if its possible or how to do it

Press the PrtScn key. This will take a screen shot, ie. everything that is visible on your monitor.

Now open an image editor and create a new image the same size as your screen, 800x600 etc.

Paste into this new image and the screen grad will appear.
