is it possible to get your pc to connect to the internet while its starting up on Windows XP Home Edition??? I am using the £15.99 version of Tiscali Broadband, also, when i look in Network Connections it comes up as Dial-Up, how would i and why does it do this? thx

Do you mean that you want it to auto-connect rather than you having to click the icon? ADSL connections are classified as dial-up for the sake of convenience. They clearly aren't but it was easier that way when they first introduced it.

If you have got your connection set up to remember your name and password when you connect then you should be able to drag a copy of the icon to the directory C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup and this should start your BB connection.
