unwanted website
      #10165 - Fri Sep 12 2003 01:48 PM

Hi,

Please can anyone help ?

I keep getting this web site coming into my computer and I don't know how on earth it's got there, but it won't go away, even though I clear my cookies.

It's called "Global-Finder" and it keeps making it's self my home page. I keep changing my homepage back to what I want, but then low and behold, nearly everytime I log in to my computer and go onto the home page, it's there again.

Does anyone know how it's got into my computer in the first place, and how can I get rid of it for good ?

Any help appreciated. Thank you

Go to this page, and download 'Hijack This!'.

Unzip it, launch Hijack This, then press Scan, and press Save Log

This will generate a text file that will list all running processes, all applications that are loaded automatically when you start Windows, and more.

open that file
Go to Edit | Select all
Now click Edit | copy to copy it
Come back to Webuser, Right Click and paste its contents here

Go to spyware.comand download 'Hijack This!'.

Unzip it, launch Hijack This, then press Scan, and press Save Log

This will generate a text file that will list all running processes, all applications that are loaded automatically when you start Windows, and more.
