I only have experience of Freeserve (now Wannado) and they were very average.
This offer is also capped at 2Gig a month, which amounts to about a days worth of hard downloading.

After loads of problems when I firsrt changed from Freeserve Anytime to BB were sorted out (not a Freeserve problem, solved by going on to XP and IE6 and a clean restore - but Freeserve techos couldn't help!) I've been more than satisied with BB service. Tech. support is only average at best.
A little knowledge is a dangerous thing - in my case it would be wonderful! - XP Home, IE6, Avant Browser

Thanks for this - I have only read into the offer and the restrictions on download make it clear this is not for me - most advise that free2surf is one of the better offers but all the set up costs put me off - I will get there but these views are certainly helpful

What setup costs? You only need to buy the modem.

Free modem and free connection i dont know what made you say you have to pay for the modem, you only need to purchase a modem if you are wanting to go wireless. Also wanadoo's lowest package is NOT reccomended for HEAVY downloading as you such put it, it does advise for email and surfing.

The way I read it, Jaynee's post was in response to, "... most advise that free2surf is one of the better offers but all the set up costs put me off...". Nothing to do with Wannabe!
