I cannot get the usual dialogue box to appear on my Laptop (Acer 4150 Travelmate) when I connect my digital camera (Panasonic DMC-TZ2). On my PC I get a dialogue box which automatically shows on the screen when I connect the camera there. The box says things like "What do you want to do?" (view these using Windows Picture and Fax Viewer etc). But on my laptop, even though I went to My Computer, right-clicked on the F: drive (removeable disk), Properties, Auto-Play tab, Apply, OK, etc. etc but still the dialogue box will not appear on the screen of the Laptop. I just don't know why it won't appear. So I am totally baffled. Hence I can't transfer my pictures to the Laptop, although it happens easily on my PC. Does anyone know the answer please? (And I might sound clued-up, but I am actually a dimbo Pensioner, so please try to make it simple - thanks.) Hope for a quick answer. Thanks |

Small tip. Drag the page you have open , to one side - and make sure the dialogue-box you were expecting isn't hiding underneath. It's been known. Don't know why it does it though? ![]() . |

Hello to my kind "repliers" - This morning I tried again, having taken a couple of 'test'photos, and this time the "Camera and Scanner Wizard" box appeared, and I successfully transferred these test photos to the Laptop. It is really all I need to put my photos onto the Laptop whilst I am travelling - so don't worry about still not being able to get that "dialogue box" - I have just come to the conclusion that it has gone on its holidays too! Thanks again to you.
