In mag No:186 100 ways to boost your PC Windows XP hint No:3 says "sfc/scannow" I ve tried this without quotes as stated and cannot get it to run. Can anyone help please.

Unfortunately the magazine doesn't make it clear that there is a space between sfc and /scannow.
Try sfc /scannow
