Burning Dvd's Fullscreen???

Hi
Is there anyway of burning a film to disk with out getting to black line's on both sides or top and bottom when I play it in my dvd player its a avi file. I have been useing vista's software to burn my dvd's but just cant get it to be fullscreen.
Would be grateful of any help!

It would seem that your copying films that are wide-screen so you will get black lines at the top and bottom. There is nothing you can do about it.

have you tried adjusting your television screen settings when playing the movie
