Google launched Dashboard today that gives you a summary of your personal data stored on Google Apps such as Google Mail, Reader and Docs. However if like me you rely on Google services such as Gmail, then you should consider bookmarking Google App Status Dashboard. Next time Google suffers an outage, visit that page. It lists all of Google's Apps and highlights any that are currently experiencing problems. Click the blue info icons to learn the nature of the fault and any alternative ways you can access your account. An example was during a recent Gmail outage, it informed you that you could still access Gmail via IMAP. |

I Pointed out on the Comment to the W/U article on Google Dashboard that they[Google Tech] would do well to put these together and this 1 bookmark can open your Account on any computer The Apps has only the Mail Feature covered, for most people 1 omission on Both lists is No Google Earth section ..Why? Google Maps Has a lip service check Their servers for Google Maps have been cranky on occasion The Apps list could surely list these too? Plus any Scheduled Maintenance outages Perhaps in the far off future Link to the Forums on Google Groups?
