AVG 8 problems

Can someone kindly help me with AVG 8. I'm running WinXP. Since installing AVG 8 I am being asked repeatedly if I want to restart after updates even though I had restarted only some two minutes previously. It's only a small problem more a niggle really but I am finding it infuriating now

Problem now resolved. Uninstalled and then re-installed and everything now appears satisfactory.
