Hi, I need to get a new laptop for about £450. Does anyone have any recomendations? I would be using it for work and studies mainly and would like a decent sized HDD. |

Good morning kevhickeyuk and welcome to WebUserforums - a friendly place with much to offer. Re your query, its very difficult to recommend one make against another. My advice would be to go to the biggest suppliers you can find - Currrys, PCWorld, Staples etc., and not forgetting Tesco and play with a few laptops in your price-range. See what you like the look and feel of, Things like keyboards and monitors are such a personal choice you really do need the machine there in front of you and switched on. I fear this isn't the sort of technical advice you were hoping for. But 'best of luck' ........ . |

Quote: I own a Compaq/HP desktop and a Packard Bell laptop (the former more than 8 years) and have had no problems with either of them. The other day, I was talking to an IT bloke and he reckons that the best brands are HP and Toshiba. Personally, I would go for HP. Hope this helps. |
