A new forum

I opened up a new forum, just under a month ago, Its aimed as a F1 forum, but I have included General motorsport section as well as several other general chat sections, including in the chit chat area a link to the forum chat room (sorry if you wish to see in the chit chat section you must be a member as a way of regulating who uses the chat room) the forum has over 50 members in under a month (30 members joined in the first week alone) that I feel is a good acheivement considering the amount of forums available to people.

Any feedback, good or bad, any advice on improving my forum would be greatfully recived.

Re: A new forum

I like F1 and have watched it and followed it all my life. It's good to have somewhere friendly to talk about it.

My only critisism would be that you've got forums there that are totaly off topic. I would suggest keeping it to F1 and motorsport. Having lots of forums and having to scroll to far makes it hard on the eye.

Maybe you could condense some of the off topic forums together. I'm not that familiar with the board that you are using, but could you create sub-forums in the General Chat forum for these other topics?

Hope it carries on being a success for you.

Re: A new forum

Thanks for the comments, I can see where you are coming from with condensing it, but it means that although it is aimed as F1 forum, I can avertise it under diferen descriptions, as for making them sub catagories, I have not found a way on proboards to do that, however I would like to move the forum to php or invison in the future, and that is something I could implement then

I have used InvisionBoard for a long time and can fully recomend it. Not only is it a great board with every feature you could want, but the level of support and modification support is absolutely brilliant.
