Thought I would just share this, for those who are maybe a little too scared to post their sites on here ![]() I posted a while back, only had 1 response & was a little disheartened, not by the comments as these were what I wanted, but by the fact that there was only 1 person who commented. Anyway, WU put the site in the magazine a couple of weeks ago and I was chuffed to bits, since we only set it up a few months ago and hadn't expected much. Anyway, as a result (I assume) of that, a few people saw it and on Wednesday this week it was in The Times, which has in turn led to a huge number of visitors. So if you're not sure about whether to post here, just DO IT. Don't be afraid of what people say, because I think I have only ever seen constructive feedback. And besides, you never know what will happen... |

That's an encouraging story. You're site does have a lot of information on it though so it looks well deserved and earned. I've just posted my site, but I have some realistic expectations about how much interest that may generate. Just out of interest did you already have a top end hosting package, or did you run into problems with the sudden high demand on the site ? Good luck for the future |

To be honest, our expectations were very small, we only thought that a few of our friends would look, but I guess the lesson is that you just never know who is going to find it, or how for that matter. As far as hosting goes, it's with SiteGround who have been fantastic. It only costs about £2.80 a month and that includes the .com name as well. Hardly high-end in terms of cost, but you get 1000Gb of bandwidth a month and even with the increased interest we are some way off that. FWIW I went with them because of their support, believe me when I say that the site would look a damn site worse if I didn't have hosts who were prepared to help out so much when I cock stuff up
