Advice on Office 2003 Professional

After trying to download Windows Service Pack 3 onto my computer unsuccessfully (Compaq Presario - made by HP seems there is an ongoing issue) the computer failed and had to be returned to factory settings - thanks Microsoft. I had to reinstall all of my software - I now have a problem with Microsoft Office 2003 everytime I start up the programme in pops up a windows installer programme (this happens on word and excel and states it is uploading windows components. The installer then goes away and I am able to use the programme as normal. however, I am now unable to access any Word Doc or Excel Doc onto the Humyo Online Storage system (it worked fine before)it now states the download was unsuccessful and to check the download server. Sorry for the long post but any help would be great.

Re: Advice on Office 2003 Professional

Firstly I'd try a 'Detect and Repair' which is available from the Help Menu. You may need your installation disc if it is asked for.
If this does the trick, check for Office updates and install as necessary.

If this doesn't work I would try using the >>> Windows Installer CleanUp Utility <<< to remove Microsoft Office 2003.

Once installed, open the utility and scroll down to Microsoft Office 2003 and highlight it.
Click on the 'Remove tab'.

When it has run it's course, maybe a reboot and try reinstall Microsoft Office 2003 along with Office updates.
