MEMORY CARDS

techy help needed please......
i have a 4 GB SD card for my Camera and a 2 GB Scandisc for my mobile . None of them will format so i sent them back and the 2 i recieved back will not format either ! Anyone got any ideas what i can do ? they are both the right memory cards .
The camera says " check SD card " after i try to format it . It only gives me the choice of YES to format when i insert it .
The mobile one says " unable to format , try again ? "

Why do you need to format them? I bought a new card for my phone the other day and it worked as soon as I inserted it.

the camera one only gives a "YES" option to format and the mobile one says "unreadable , do you wish to format " so i tried with both to no avail and even got replacements and it shows the same error mesages . so i'm completely stumped !

Can your camera and phone support such large cards? If you can put them into your pc, try formatting them that way. (Open my computer, right click the card, chose format.)
