Hi, Merry Christmas to everyone! I hope someone can help me with a problem I have printing on to Photo Card. I am using Corel Photo Paint 9, I have a Hewlett Packard PSC 1205 All In One Printer and I recently purchased some 7" x 5" Super Photo Snap Cards, pre-perforated to 6" x 4". Basically how do I print onto these cards? Is it best to feed these into the printer vertically or horizontally? Do I have to resize my image to 6x4 once I load it in or can I just use the fit to page option? As a test, I have loaded a photo into Photo Paint, resized it a little bigger than 6x4 so it prints over the perforations, then when i do a print preview, there are the options for user defined paper but do i need to alter this if i've already altered the Canvas size to 7x5? I have tried everything short of a miracle and I'm pretty sure there is a very simple way around this. Each time I've tried printing out in draft as a test, the image is either too small, doesn't print in the right place, or it prints to the very edge of the paper.... Arrgghhhhh, HELP! If anyone has an answer or can tell me if there is a tutorial anywhere step by step for Photo Paint or any other software package, I will be eternally grateful :) I have tried the help files with Corel Photo Paint but they do not address the problem. I'm willing to even try using other software and I've been a web-user reader for a year now so perhaps someone knows of a guide as I have all this years magazines still. Looking forward to hearing from someone :) Thanks, Pat. |

I use Paint Shop Photo Album4 and have been doing a lot of printing recently of various sizes and types of paper, with little difficulty, which for me is nothing short of a miracle! When you go to print do you go to the Page Setup facility in your software and/or change the properties or preferences in your Print dialogue. Mine's an HP Photo Smart 7150 so I would imagine the HP software is similar. Go to Paper Type under the Quality tab and select your type of paper and to the Layout tab and select the size. Photo Album has more print size/paper type options within its Print function. As for how to print the cards, my printer has a special feeder for 6x4 prints and I've only used this or A4 and guillotined the prints if there were several on one sheet. s there not an on-line Help facility with your printer or with Photo Paint 9? Hope some/any of this helps! The thirst for knowledge is sometimes sweeter than a pint of Stella - now using XP |
