I also have a netgear router connected to the Pc downstair in the other bedroom,is there any thing else I need toget the printr to work. The printer I have is an Olivetti any_way photo wireless.

I don't know this particualr printer, but they are usually best set up connected by ethernet cable to the router, then removing the cable afterwards.

So, have you actually connected the printer to the router, run the CD and installed it, then disconnected it and run the CD on the other computers?

I have discovered that I need an adapter that plugs into the router called a print server so that the printer could print wireless on the network.

From your original post it sounded like it was network ready. Ah well, at least you're sorted.
