Making a Slide Show

hi I am currently using arcsoft dvd slide show and was hoping that some one could advize me on a better programe that has a bit more extras to it

Depending on what you mean by 'more extras', there's none better than Pictures to Exe in my opinion. You can create .exe shows for computer viewing or convert to DVD with the new 5.5 version. As for extras, try out PtoE's Objects and Animation section, pan/zoom/rotate, helping to retain your audience's interest!
Very reasonably priced too.
