anyway to reduce size of many many fotos at once ??

Hi all..
I was on holiday and i have taken about 300-400 picts. each of the foto is high resolution and sized approx. 1250kb. All JPEG. i have noticed that when these fotos are opened in MS paint and then "save as" JPEG, the file size reduces than its original. is there any program that will reduce the size of the all the fotos at once ? so that i can upload them on sites like youtube or myspace or facebook...

sorry did not get time until just now. i did as per what was told in your link. That does reduce the pixels. what i wanted to do was to reduce the size of the images. there are 328 images, total 498 MB...i thought if i can reduce the size then i can carry them around in my pen drive coz all the images are JPEG/JPG.when each one is opened with MS paint & just "saved as.." the same file name..overwrite/yes..then the file size reduces automatically..i hope you can understand me. how can i reduce the size..thks lots mate
PS : by the way the original dimension (dont know what that means) of each foto/image is 2592 x 1944

It works with both XP and Vista and will resize single pictures or complete files and its free

i think irfanview can do that..cant it ? if i try the entire process FUSION mentioned initially but instead of 560 pixels (for good output)..cant i choose the option "resize" about 60% of original images...???

If you open the 'Advanced Options' in Irfanview > 'Batch conversion/resize', you'll notice the option to 'Set a new size as percentage of the original'.
In putting say 50% reduces the size by half!
