Inkscape installation problem

Hello,
I installed inkscape, but after using and closing it, the next time I open it - it loads the set up again then asks
'inkscape 0.45 1pre0 has already been installed. do you want to remove the previous version before installing 0.45 1pre0?',
so I press no, and the set up wizard starts again.
I downloaded it 'save to disk' Have tried re-installing it.
Any help?

Did you download the EXE installer or the 7Zip file?

Hello again greysts, it was the win 32 exe installer.

Ah, problem solved! I started Inkscape from my programmes list and it started up fine, so I just deleted the start up icon from desktop and sent the icon from programmes there instead.
