Using an animated gif in a word document

Hi There,
Can you use an animated gif in a word document or something like Gmail?

I can't seem to find a way - can someone advise whether it's possible?

Thanks

Re: Using an animated gif in a word document

You cannot use animated gifs in Word documents. It is not designed for that.
ourstanley meant for you to also enclose an separate animated gif with a Word document should you want to send by email.

If you want to send an email via Outlook Express, and have an animated gif in the body of the mail, simply go to the Create a New Message > Menu Bar > Select insert > Picture > Picture source > Browse to your gif location > OK.

Your gif will show as an animation before you send it if it is an animated gif.
A similar method can be used in Outlook, but because it uses the Word program to compile the email, animation will not show.
However, they show at the recipients end when opened.
