Re: Logging in

Hi Paul,

Congratulations this is a wonderful improvement to the site. I have a couple of very minor observations.

I notice that most other forums have the ability to retain your user name and password which, saves the trouble of entering them every time. Old wrinkles like me have occasional memory problems and I have no objection to a cookie for this purpose on my hard drive.

A little while back we had some people abuse the site by impersonating regular users and posting unwelcome and damaging scripts, in fact I recall the site was down as a consequence on one occasion. I wondered why people are allowed to post messages without registering?

Those are my only concerns, hope you don't mind my raising them, otherwise as I said the site is now great and I am very pleased indeed.

Joe

Joe

Use this URL to log in and you won't have to supply name and password. You may have to change it slightly as it's pointing to me, i.e. sign-in then save the URL to favorites.

Here it is http://calm.ipcmedia.com/cgi-bin/webuser/forums/login.pl?Cat=

If you're using Internet Explorer 6, it may be rejecting the cookie. Try changing your 'Privacy' setting to 'Medium'.

Re: Logging in

I really must get round to changing my password sometime. I just use the one they gave me when I registered here and I've been meaning to change it ever since. On the other hand, no-one would be able to guess the one WU gave me! Well, not for ages!
