Hide Icon Names.

Hi All,
has anybody tried the tip number 6 on page 25 of issue 186, Hide Icon names ??
I cant get this to work.
Holding down Alt doesn't allow me to enter the 255 ??
Anyone had any luck with this ??

Hi mw1,
Are you (a) selecting the icon and pressing the F2 [Rename] key before you hold down Alt and (b) using the numeric keypad on the right-hand side of your keyboard to type in 255?

You can also try:
Selecting the Icon > F2 or Right click > Rename
Press the Alt key and whilst holding it down, press the 0160 keys on the numeric keypad.

Hi rirvine,
sorted...
haven't got a numeric keypad on the right of my keyboard.( using a laptop ).
Used the Num Lk function. Never used it before..
