My colleague has asked me if you guys can help sort out an email problem, or rather a future problem if she goes ahead and has BT Broadband activated. Apparently you can't use Outlook or Outlook Express to send emails. I have told her she can access her mails via the BT/Yahoo web site, but is there a work around to this annoying problem so she can do it within OE, or is it as simple as paying a little extra for the privilege. I'm sure I have read somewhere that £1.50 is all you pay extra per month to enhance the bare basic broadband which you get for £19.99. Many thanks for your help. |

With BT Broadband you can get your e-mail address set up before your line is activated. With this you can configure Outlook Express but the password will be "greyed" out so you can't complete. Then phone BT Broadband helpline 0800 800 060 and create an account which will cost you £1.50 per month. You can check the account is live prior to activation. Thanks for the info ourstanley. She already has accounts set up in OE, so I'll pass on your comments and advise her to ring the helpline to confirm that you can do this for piece of mind. Thanks very much. |
