i use outlook express to receive my emails. when i click on a link in a received email....nothing happens. I have to right click on the link - copy shortcut - and then paste into internet explorer address bar. this problem only applies to my emails. links that are on webpages viewed with internet explorer work fine. I've searched my settings to see if i can find anything obvious but to no avail ( but it would have to be really simple to be obvious to me ) does anyone have any suggestions for me. about the link problem that is.....sequoya |

Try this solution: To resolve this problem, follow these steps: 1. Click Start > Run > Type or copy/paste the following command in the Run dialog box, and then click OK: regsvr32 urlmon.dll 2. Repeat step 1 for each of the following commands: regsvr32 mshtml.dll regsvr32 shdocvw.dll regsvr32 browseui.dll regsvr32 msjava.dll Re-open Outlook Express and try those links. Good luck. |

still no joy. the first command was ok. the second ( regsvr32 mshtml.dll ) produced the following message - mshtml.dll was loaded, but the dll register server entry point was not found. This file can not be registered. the third and fourth commands were both ok the fifth ( regsvr32 msjava.dll ) produced this message - load library ("msjava.dll") failed - the specified module could not be found I'm still copying and pasting shortcuts |

Try this: Go to Tools> Options and click the "Read" tab. There you will see the option to "Read all messages as plain text"—uncheck the box. or 1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel. 2. Double-click the Internet or Internet Options icon, and then click Programs. 3. Make sure that the Internet Explorer should check to see if it is the default check box is selected, click Apply, and then click OK. 4. Open Internet Explorer, and then click Yes when you receive the following prompt: Internet Explorer is not currently your default browser. Do you wish to make it the default? |
