Mailwasher query

I use mailwasher and find it okay. But occasionally, I want to retrieve something which ends up in the recycle bin. I have had this problem before but it did 'sort' itself but today, despite many tries, I can't fix the problem.
I selected the email I want to restore to my email box and press the 'restore email' button and a message appears telling me the restored email is being sent to my Outlook Express email address.... but it never appears!
It's driving me nuts!
