Email problem

A mate of mine is sending
me emails with attachments,
that when you click on the
attachment,its all gibberish
(like machine code).The
attachment look something like
this ATT00018.dat.
Any help on this one please.
O/S vista ultimate.

It's a receipt. Found in Windows Mail > Tools > Options > Receipts Tab.
Either you're requesting them or your friend is sending them or both.

Hi BurrWalnut.
Thanks for your reply.I
have checked the tools/options
and the only thing checkmarked
is "notify me for each read
receipt requested",so will have
to get my mate to check his end.
