Not a Tip But if you are looking for a New Name on Google Accounts for Gmail and Googlemail Be aware the registration server is slow and does ask that you type in a Code should you make 5 requests about Name availablity.(Stops the Spambots) I have returned here and tried Many More names out, and the Server says most are still available

Interesting thing Bedsts, but we seem to have reverted to 'gmail' rather than 'googlemail'. Yesterday I set up an additional account for my wife, specifically for a committee function, and was surprised that it was a 'gmail'. Also, her straightforward first name.second name was available, without any frills. . |

Rg Could it be whan you submitted the Name, the server uses the Geographic server location of your ISP to determine who gets what? So if you are MSN or AOL (like me) you get a Gmail (They are located in the States) But any British or European servers are allocated a Googlemail address Can anyone confirm my theory? |

doesn't matter anyway. Even if you are allocated user_name@googlemail.com you can just tell everyone that it is user_name@gmail.com if you like as it will still find you (or vice versa for that fact) Google just wouldn't allow two different users to have the same front end user name |

Quote: Another undocumented feature is you can log into your account without using the Full address. Just need screenname & Password
