Can you merge two thunderbird backups?

I use Thunderbird as my email software. I did a back up using MozBackup in October 2007 and another in January 2008. I since had problems and restored the October 2008 one in error. I have then carried on but have a gap in my inbox/outbox between October and January.
Is there a way of merging or restoring the missing data?
