I run Windows XP, and use Mozilla Thunderbird as an email programme. A few days ago a friend said I had sent an email with the date 22/2/08 and it kept jumping to the top of his inbox. I see that all emails I have sent since that one are dated in late February. The date on my computer is correct. Would anyone be able to tell me why this has happened and how to fix it? I can't find it in Thunderbird 'help'. Thank you, |

Is the date on the emails changing on a daily basis? In other words is it always one month ahead? |

Dear greysts, My sent box is rather a muddle due to the wrong dates. There were 16 sent emails dated 22/2 but I am not sure if I sent them on 22/1 - probably is my guess. 17 dated 23/2 and 10 dated 24/2 then they appear to have gone back to January. I didn't realize this until I had a closer look, as all the February ones are at the top. I would still like to know what caused it and how to fix it if it happens again. Thank you for your help, |

Are you saying that the problem has now gone away? If so I would put my money on the fact that someone?? changed the date on your PC and then changed it back when they realised what they'd done. |

Thank you for your reply. Yes the problem has gone away but all my newly sent emails are halfway down the page as the future dated ones come first. I don't know what the glitch was as I am the only person to use this computer and I certainly didn't change the date. The date on the computer remained correct when this was going on as I mentioned in my first post. I just hope it was a 'one-off'. Many thanks for your reply. |
