Error code 0x800CCC19

Please can you help. I am getting this error code accompanied by this message

A time-out occurred while communicating with the server. Account: 'pop.tiscali.co.uk', Server: 'pop.tiscali.co.uk', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC19

I am not able to send or receive emails. Eveything was ok last night when I put my computer off, the last thing I did was check emails perfectly ok. Turned on today and got this not been able to send or recieve at all.

OS Windows XP with AVG free anti virus & Zone Alarm free

I would try to access Tiscali's . . . . >> Web Mail page << . . . . and download any mail from there. It could be a very large email 'clogging' the System.

Failing that, search for pop3uidl via Start > Search and once located, delete the file. Reboot and check your mails again. A new file will be recreated as soon as you check your mails.

Thanks. I went to the web mail page and deleted all mail as there was nothing important then tried sending myself an email. Everything now seems ok.
