email arrival

Hi There,
I have seen some great illustrations to denote when new mail arrives (like a rotating envelope or similar) I wonder whether anyone knows where these can be located please?

What email service do you use?
I use Gmail and they have a 'email notifier' in the form of an white envelope. When a email arrives it opens and shows a few lines of the email at the bottom of your screen.
Not sure about any other services like Hotmail/Yahoo etc.

Is there a gagdet that works with Windows Mail to indicate that new mail has arrived ? At the moment I have to open the program to find out .
