What is the problem rob897?
Your post only shows a link telling you how to add a GMX account.

Re: GMX & Outlook

Have you looked at the account settings via:

Tools > Options > Mail setup > Send/Receive > D/click All accounts > In the accounts in the left pane, highlight GMX > Check that 'Include the selected group in this account' is ticked.

Also click on 'Account properties' in the same Window with GMX highlighted. Does everything look ok settings wise?

Just clarify, those others links weren't showing in your original posting.

Why are you using gmx.co.uk inyour user name?

I have turned them into clickable links because the screenshots are too big. Please note paragraph 6 of the Board Rules regarding this.

Your images are being removed because they are far too big!
Hello_There advised you of this further up the thread.

Re: GMX & Outlook

I've already explained to you above why your screenshots have been changed to clickable links. Could you please use the URL Instant Mark-up, not the Image one in future. Thanks.

Re: GMX & Outlook

Hi Grimboyd & Rob897

Looking over the screenshots, it appears that there may be some incorrect settings on your Outlook E-mail account for the GMX login.

Try using the instruction list below to check all your settings. I have just setup an email account using these and all appears to be working well:

Outlook 2003 Settings for GMX

1. User Information

Set 'Your Name': type in your Name
Set 'E-mail Address': type your full GMX Address e.g. webuser@gmx.com

2. Server Information
Enter Incoming mail server: pop.gmx.com
Enter Outgoing mail server: smtp.gmx.com

3. Logon Information
Set Name: Enter your GMX Customer ID Number
Set Password: Enter your GMX Password

4. Click on 'More Settings'

5. Select 'General' Tab
Set Mail Account: type a description e.g. GMX E-mail Account

6. Select 'Advanced Settings' Tab
Enter Incoming server (POP3): port 110
Enter Outgoing server (SMTP): port 25

Note: Server does not require (SSL) Encription

7. Select 'Outgoing Server' Tab
Ensure a tick is placed besides 'My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication'

8. Select 'OK'

9. Select 'Test Account'

Note: If all information is correct a test email will be sent.
(recheck settings if message not sent)

10. Select 'Next'

11. Select 'Finish'
