I have received an email from Alliance and Leicester saying to complete my application for my Business account I must confirm details by clicking their link. No I didnt fall for it, but clicked on the link too see where it took me, McAfee site advisor wouldn't let me go there so I didn't- Now this is OBVIOUSLY a Phishing scam- and a new one by the looks as I cant find it on the web anywhere yet. My question is What do I do with it? Should I be worried about my details bouncing around out there ? As you can tell this is the first one I have received and am a bit concerned. It didn't address my name so I guess they don't have that. Is there somewhere I should report it to? I will call the bank tomorrow and let them know I received it ( even though I don't bank with them) But should I be worried or is it a mass sent email and not targeted specifically at me? Thanks in advance- Abyss

Yes, report it to Alliance & Leicester. If you've kept it they may well ask you to send them a copy. |

I called them this morning and the lady said that there was three that went out over the weekend, they have had lost of calls about them and there anti fraud team are on it. I sent them a copy also just in case! Thank goodness also for McAfee Site Advisor as-well, it blocked the spoof site from coming up! Great piece of FREE software. So I guess nothing to worry about.
