Can either Outlook Express or Thunderbird be configured so that when emails are checked, they are left on the mail server rather than being removed? If they can, how is it done? My reason for asking is that my wife wants to check emails on her computer, but I don't want to miss any when I check on mine. Thanks in advance. |

Yes it can be done in Outlook express. Open Outlook Express > Tools > Accounts > Mail > D/Click an account > Advanced > Delivery > Check 'Leave a copy on server' . . . . > Apply/OK You could also set up 2 different identities like this so when either of you opens Outlook Express, you only download and see your own mails and nobody else's. For thunderbird, see here . . . . . >> 'Leave Messages on Server' Setting in Thunderbird Hope this helps. |

Thanks, that's brilliant. I don't want seperate identities as we share one email address... |

Pleased to have helped. Never heard of two people sharing the same address. That could cause problems. Still if that's how you want it. |
