Seems your email address has been passed to 3rd party. You could get new email or just keep blocking the email address when you get the emails through. Don't open emails from people you don't know. If you do set up new email address, make sure not to sign up to any of "yahoo's great offers" lol

Good advice tooty ![]() I was in that situation too a few years ago but I posted a tip on what keywords to put into the YahooMail filters, and slowly but surely 99% of it went away am now down to 2 or 3 per week (was 50+ per session! ) Additional tip do log In and Out as a Live (auto login)account when you are online does attract attention from the Mailbots ![]() Here is the Filter Tip posted on my other site |

I postet this originally on here but its not easy to get it from the archived postings ![]() as regars the tag it is a case of trial and error in the choice of the words and it does allow the Wild card "* " So to group say anything do say with a Watch for example You simply type watch* so the filter stops emails headed watch, watches, watcher and so on As I said earlier it will take a week or 2 before you see any improvement And you will have to keep fine tuning them TOP TIP Make a note on paper those words that Always appear which are NOT common...those are the best keywords to start with on the filters PS My Yahoo address dates from just after I started surfing and Despite spam attacks have made no changes to to bar setting up the filters |

Something thats happened after i set up the filters is that 2 emails from someone i know/trust were sent directly to the trash folder, ive checked the words ive used in the filters but none of the words appeared in the 2 emails, is there a way to not have them sent directly to my trash folder |

Make a filter that allows those to filter through. Cannot say what will happen. Format may be: If email contains Suchandsuch@Yahoo.com then do not delete or move Email them first and tell them what you are tryng to do, so they may get a "Bounce"(undelivered Mail Daemon message)or 2 For the Record. When I set up my Filters @Yahoo I made 15 up (out of the 16 allowed!)
